Trumpet and Electronics

As a performer and educator, Christopher has an interest in performing new works for the trumpet. He started his journey into trumpet and electronics performing works for trumpet and backtrack, Meg Bowles’ Shapeshifter and Night Sun Journey, as well as a piece for trumpet, trombone, and loop effects, entitled Decaloop. This journey continued in the Fall of 2022 when he became a student member of CIRMMT (Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology) and joined two consortiums trumpet and electronics, The Last Trumpet by Evan Williams and unfurling by Hannah Boissonneault. In the Winter of 2023, Christopher received funding from CIRMMT for a project to work on creating and performing music for trumpet and interactive electronics with Jonas Regnier and Yifun Huang. This research is ongoing, but more information will be posted as the research develops!
